| Owners! A few suggestions to make draft night go smoother: 1. If you have not yet done so, please take a moment to read the "How do I prepare for a live draft" steps 3 & 5 and the "Important Notes" section. http://football6.myfantasyleague.com/2008/support?L=51506&FAQ=626 The draft itself will take place in the "Live Draft Room" which is found on the menu "For Owners" at the top of your screen. To make the first 2 rounds go faster (the protection rounds), please "Pre-Draft" your protection players (one in round 1 and the second one in round 2). PROTECTION ROUNDS: The first two rounds are the PROTECTION ROUNDS where each team announces who they are protecting. The order of these rounds is 10-1 (The Victors to Greasers). Choose a player from your active roster: http://football6.myfantasyleague.com/2007/options?L=50259&O=07 If you are going to defer your pick instead of protecting a player, you must select a head coach named "DEFER, PICK". There are 24 custom players added to the system with the name "DEFER, PICK". 4. DEFERRED ROUNDS: The third and fourth rounds of the draft are the DEFERRED ROUNDS. The order of these rounds is 1-10 (Greasers to The Victors). If you have selected a player named "DEFER, PICK" in either round 1 or round 2, you can select any player in round 3. If you have selected "DEFER, PICK" in both rounds 1 and 2, then you can also select any player in round 4. IF YOU DID NOT DEFER IN ROUNDS 1 OR 2, THEN YOU MUST SELECT A PLAYER NAMED "DEFER, PICK" IN BOTH ROUND 3 AND ROUND 4. 5. At the end of round 4, all teams will have 2 players at any position and 2 head coaches named "DEFER, PICK". This does not effect the head coach requirement (the system is set where all teams are required to have 4 head coaches). I will drop the "DEFER, PICK" players for each team after the draft. 6. There are some simpler method for keeper leagues available through the new site that I will propose for next year. They will involve some slightly different rules for protection players. 7. CALL ME WITH ANY ISSUES: (330) 590-0276. EDIT: Also, all trades must be executed by the system prior and during the draft. Use the "Future Draft Picks" box to select the picks you are trading and put the player(s) involved in the comment box. NOTE THAT THE FIRST FOUR ROUNDS OF THE DRAFT ARE PROTECTION & DEFERRED. What we traditionally call a 1st round pick is actually in ROUND 5. On the draft order spreadsheet (http://users.adelphia.net/~tknowlton/mfl_draft_lottery_2008.xls), the number in parenthesis is the draft round you will select on the website. EDIT #2: All trades from last season before the trade deadline have already been entered into the draft order. There is no need to re-enter them here. |
